Genie warlock details we missed

  2. Wall of stone… they get a dex save to avoid
  3. Can't communicate with familiar from within the ring (extra-dimen. space issue)
    1. I think you CAN hear things on the other side tho
  4. Can't technically do portable hole inside ring, but as long as no abuse... fine.

  •  Can only use ring once per long rest. 
  • Can store stuff in it like bag holding. 
  • Shoulda been doing hex as BonusAction (BA) from early on.

  • -adds Eldrich Mind for buff to concentration saves

  • -adds Owl familiar to hold ring AND owl flyby attack to impart adv on a single attack

  • Bonfire Cantrip early, keeps (forever?).
  • Drops scorch ray at lvl 5. 
  • Fireball.
  • Sickening Radiance.
  • Pact of chain for Imp familiar (reskinned to tiny efreeti or mephit). Bcuz… inviz, fire immune, and flies and hands. … carry ring vessel. 
  • Imp provides adv to a single attack. 
  • ***add gift of alacrity for better init (important for blasters). But says cheez it with 8 hr rest tricking (and if cant rest trick, he likes something else... a boring cleric spell or something).
  • Feat - Spell Sniper Sharpshooter (yeah). To get dpr up there.
  • Spell Synaptic Static (gaahh the un-DnD-sounding names kill me, RESKIN name to Mind Blur or Mind Crack or something) super good AOE he says, b/c int save, temp roll nerf, etc. 
  • He likes Shadow of Moil
  • At Level 9, you have 
    • 24 hour Hex. 
    • Eldrich Mind (if took that path) to get ADV on spell conc. checks. 
    • *** says can do a LONG REST with bottled respite, what?! Awesome. B/c Prof Bonus is 4 now, so 8 hours inside works. 
    • Bottled Respite: As an action, you can magically vanish and enter your vessel, which remains in the space you left. The interior of the vessel is an extradimensional space in the shape of a 20-foot-radius cylinder, 20 feet high, and resembles your vessel. The interior is appointed with cushions and low tables and is a comfortable temperature. While inside, you can hear the area around your vessel as if you were in its space. You can remain inside the vessel up to a number of hours equal to twice your proficiency bonus. You exit the vessel early if you use a bonus action to leave, if you die, or if the vessel is destroyed. When you exit the vessel, you appear in the unoccupied space closest to it. Any objects left in the vessel remain there until carried out, and if the vessel is destroyed, every object stored there harmlessly appears in the unoccupied spaces closest to the vessel's former space. Once you enter the vessel, you can't enter again until you finish a long rest.
  • 10th level - 
    • all the Genie stuff
      • Five friends can come in. = Sanctuary Vessel
      • In addition, anyone (including you) who remains within the vessel for at least 10 minutes gains the benefit of finishing a short rest, and anyone can add your proficiency bonus to the number of hit points they regain if they spend any Hit Dice as part of a short rest there.
    • He adds Minor Illusion b/c he loves it, says it's not great at this level tho, was great early on. 
  • 11th level is Huge
    • 3rd Pact slot
    • Cantrip bump

    • use for ANY level 6 spell from any class
    • he's got a fun list of things to do. 
      • Revivify
      • wall stone, stoneShape  to make castle
      • disintegrate 
      • etc.


QUES - Genies Wrath for DPR bump -> ANSW: oh, that's the little extra 3 or so dmg on the end of things (extra fire dmg for Efreeti patron, etc.).


How he figures baseline DPR:

Shouldn’t your archer Fighter DPR comparison be hitting 45% of the time?

Fighting style archer and battle master precision maneuver increases accuracy

45% assumes the archery finding style, and the battle master precision shot is a very limited resource, especially stretched over several battles in a row. I just don’t think that 70% to hit as a realistic number even if you are using it as a elite cap.

Bilbrons: No, I use a 60% hit rate for the Agonizing Blast benchmark, and FS:Archery is 10% over that, so 70% hit rate. (Note that Battle Master and Precision Shot are not part of the Elite DPR Baseline)
