My opinion 

Trip attack - seems cheezy on ranged… how ya gonna trip with ranged? Maybe ok if shoot in leg?

Vs air? I would say only works vs wings. 

But prone great IF lets blaster mage get adv on scorch ray  

Riposte seems fun for the fighter… if not pole arm master thing that uses reaction already. Rogue multi class main use though  

Push - great to put in ally AoE  

Quick toss plus Net plus Crossbow expert (apparently not just for crossbows)for range no penalty 5 feet of enemy awesome bcuz only uses bonus action. (Says lotsa ways do other throwing weapons on bonus action tho)

Net traps for a while and lets friends have adv on attacks.

Other NET tricks/ to note

NOTE- says CANNOT do any other attacks on same round(turn?) that u throw a Net tho. 

NOTE2: but can ya cast a spell with quickened spell metamagic as bonus action and do net as action ? I think so  

NOT3- prone means disadv for ranged attacks vs it (so… a wash for netted prone guys vs ranged spells eh?)

Spell Catapult- bag holding many nets  .. catapult.. 3d8 dmg and restrained

Ranged person - 

..archery plus 2

..sharp shooter no disadv from 10-15 ft

.. crossbow expert, no disadv 5 ft

..quick toss battle master gives draw net as part of att AND toss as bonus action (still reqding… says CANNOT do any other attacks on same round(turn?) that u throw a Net tho. 

..thrown weapon fighting style allows u draw (any throw weapon ) net as part of the attack. 

*** When you use an action, bonus action, or reaction to attack with a net, you can make only one attack regardless of the number of attacks you can normally make. <—- do they means make one more attack after net? No, bcuz thatd give u an extra attack if u did it vanilla as a single attack on char w only one attack. So yeah… sure seems like u cannot do ANY other “attacks” at that time.
