Make crits more exciting. (((Thought process is.. blaster casters r supposed to do avg dmg till rdy to mega spike nuke. Melee martials should do avg dmg then get more frequent but smaller spikes with current crits. Only 5e crits r too weak. So either bring back “double everything crits” or this idea below. This is assuming we un nerf blaster casters to be able to nuke more frequently and nuke harder. Aka more like 3.5e also.)))
Make a melee weapon crit have a chance to autokill (legendary resist can prevent) … based on monster difficulty. Harder to kill if higher CR.
Maybe like:
If ur crit rolls are max dice or one below max dice… (careful, not for 1d4 dice, and d6 or d8 dice max only not one below??)… chance to autokill some mobs. Ones that take crit dmg or with a throat, etc. Maybe only CR 6 or below(or just make rly hard for higher till ur level is close to theirs… or only works on CR mobs that r same CR as ur lvl). Maybe u both roll d20… enemy CON or DEX save (DM choice) with bebefit for higher CR minster (maybe half of CR round down…like CR of 5 will add a 2 to his save roll) vs. player’s xxxx. Maybe player’s kill DC is based partly on their level… so higher their lvl then higher chance to autokill.
Could put on a special weapon to test.
QUEST FOR KID AFTER STRAHD - quest to get this weapon… hunt down an evil assassin… a friend of Warduke! (We r in Forgotten Realms… maybe there is a hidden continent with Venjer).

Bring back 3.5’s great cleave and power attack feat(s).
UPDATE: Make sure needed... saw some crazy powergaming stuff due to dual class dip into Wizard for Shield Spell super AC and stuff like that, so be careful with weird 5e Dips.
