The kid did a short rest. Wanted to press on. I realized I had forgotten the demon staff on the miniboss Drow lady (not Eclavdra, but the other). So I mentioned that to the kid.
Ok so he approached the lava river and bridge. Used a map I had which was similar. Moduke says 2 fire salamanders… so for gis level 15 and the 5e effect, i was going to put in possibly 7 or 8 of them. Well that would have been crazy bcuz w 5 of em w good roles it was scary.
And then the drow came from behind at the end of round 1… made a short speech about underestimating a high priesyess of lollth… staff material ized out of the air… evil was felt. A black gnarled staff from hell! She stamped it down and turned into a class 3 demon… glabrezu. Cast PWER WORD … … ( kid was sweating cuz warlock was there and per wrd kill would kill him)… STUN! Ok he is just stunned. But that is bad.
3 salamander s got surprise round
Barb out of rage so taking tons dmg. No fire resistance and flanked by many salamanders. Every hit makes untake 2d6 fire.
Druid was air element al, and THESE salamanders have magic weapons we said bcuz near drow . So could hit him.
Use a Wish? Kid says nope.
Barb kept getting grappled by salamanders, then knocked out.
Druid cant do dmg to salamanders.
Warlock took half hp dmg from demon
Omg
Well kid has idea. Broken summon Pixies amd polymorph friends to save em!
