New Loot (+Death Slaad changes) - Amber Temple

GOTTA FIND:

  • OK Wand of Secrets 
  • Shield Guardian (OK, got the amulet already)
EXTRA LOOT I WANNA GIVE (Death Slaad has 'em? but he's more spell-like abilities, not a wizard, but he would use magic items):
  • Ring of ... Shield Spell (appears as a magical eye sphere over you) one time a day (but it's that Beastmaster eye-ring spying)
  • Scroll of gaseous form (x1)
  • Scroll of ??Heroism?? (temp 10HP)
  • OK Scroll of Bless (DRUID)
  • OK Scroll for DRUID - Fairy Fire
  • OK Scroll for DRUID - Erupting Earth
  • OK Scroll of Dispel Magic (5th lvl version)

Death Slaad: "Out of thin air an evil monstrous amphibious-man-thing attacks. An oily shimmering magical shield of many swirling colors seems to surround and protect it. "
In 3.5e they had more powers. Let's use some of them, to give more flavor. And bonus action to change forms for fun, doesn't really affect much else. https://www.realmshelps.net/monsters/block/Slaad,_Death is the 3.5e version. 
  1. LEGENDARY RESIST x1, LEGEND REACTIONs (1 extra per round?)
    1. Go INVIZ
      1. if inviz, att w/ adv right?

    4. One cast of chaos cloak
      1. b/c ... how many times to dispel?

  2. AC 21 (up from AC 18) from cloak of chaos sp, or just extra HP?
    1. Cloak of Chaos spell gives +4 AC... but let's just go AC 21. No higher than that.  
  3. Resistances -5 dmg from Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, Thunder/sonic -- but not resist to poison or force or radiant 
  4. SAVE THROWS - cloak of chaos gives +4
  5. +1 Great Sword (so +10 to hit instead of 9)
    1. Multiattack. The slaad makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws or greatsword.

      Bite (Slaad Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d8 + 5) piercing damage plus 7 (2d6) necrotic damage.

      Claws (Slaad Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d10 + 5) slashing damage plus 7 (2d6) necrotic damage.

      Greatsword +1. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 6) slashing damage plus 7 (2d6) necrotic damage.

    1. We'll say, can Greater Restore to fix blindness later. 
    2. No save, based on HP. 50HP or less, permanent (see greater restore).
    3. 51+ HP, lasts a while (many minutes).  
  7. Telepathy (has it still).
  8. Cloak of Chaos cast right b4 party arrives

    4. LG creature that attacks will get stunned 1 rnd if hit him. 
    5. ... can be dispelled! But how hard/what level?
