Stegosaurs and spikes

So debating on if the tail spikes were used for defense. Surely they were, huh? And what about the species with the shouldery side spikes?

New tiny (oldest?) stegosaur species here, today, with the side spikes:

People Don’t Like Change

Right now… who do you miss more… your child who was taken from you, from the world, today, or the child you might adopt years from now to fill the void?

That might be an extreme example, might not be a fair question, but:

Mandalorian and Boba Fett Book of ... jacking up some stuff

Pretty darn sure the lizardlike Trandoshans (Bossk) are just as strong as a wookie. Well the black and grey wookie kicked the butts of 5 or so of them. Wrong. And I don't like the way they have different kinds of fingers... they should all be like Bossk. Subspecies or whatever, sure.

And ... the dent in Boba's helmet. This site says it was a mistake, a bubble in the thingie. But that historic video about Fett on Disney+ ... the guy said he heated up the plastic and scarred it up on purpose (the dent though). Well I can't see a dent on these pictures, and dont remember the white Fett having them in the video.

No dent:

Old TV memory, maybe Space 1999 monster

Google Space 1999 monster and youll see a couple of green headed dudes. I have some faint memory of a short green monster in a white hallway from around 1977 or so. I think it faded in and out of existence. Dont think was buck rogers.

How about this site:

Thoughts - Buildings vs. the planet

A translation was about a “ Place of establishment”. Watching cowboy beebop. Casino in space thing edpisode 3  Some  criminal’s building is what it means here.

So what is a plzce of est anyway?

A building. Where you are sort of trapped. Buildings sprang up from homes. Homes were places you could be safe from the elements and animals.

People are so addicted to indoor spaces now, that most stay inside over 95 percent of their day. Healthy?

And the wild places of the planet are being destroyed for more buildings, more roads, more cement.

Update Feb 2024: So one thing that makes me crazy... why is it that manmade buildings, roads, etc. just look worse and worse every year? Takes constant upkeep. But you let a mountain, a forest, a stream run wild and age and it just gets better over time. You know castles aren't too bad, they tend to look better with a couple of hundred years on them... but they definitely have limits, too.

The Terminator - Missing Eyebrows

Was fun to watch Terminator 2, then The Terminator (original) right after. There were so many little nods to the first like, the ripping off the steering column to hotwire the car vs. the kid showing him keys above the visor.

Also interesting the 3 actors in The Terminator also in Aliens, like Lance Hendrickson. And the future scenes very reminiscent of Aliens… similar models or special effects artists/feel??

But one thing stands out as goofy. Arnold suddenly loses eyebrows (and gains prosthetics over his eyebrow area) halfway throuh the movie a little while before the eye cut scene. Maybe they thought it’d make him seem inhuman in a subtle way, but it was just weird for me. Did this influence all the Japanese bad guys not having eyebrows thing??? (Update, apparently the fire in an earlier scene burns off his eyebrows and shortens his hair. Reducing his humaness in parts and pieces as the movie goes on.)

The Matrix (1999) influnced by Doctor Who, 1976

The Tom Baker episode “The Deadly Assassin” has them fighting in a dream world virtual reality, in their minds, and are basically plugged into it via lying down on tables with mechanical things attached to their heads while asleep. The whole thing is controlled or relates to a vast system of computers in green metallic and just green backgrounds, rooms, cups, etc. They say “the matrix”... and according to wikipedia they say if you die in the matrix you die in real life   .  Wikipedia also saying this is probably the first virtual reality reference ever, as it applies to computers... way back in 1976  .

Red Sonja 1985 Movie, great backgrounds and sets

The set backgrounds / set pieces are incredible in this movie. That giant stone skull-faced bull with the strange scaled monster beneath is a perfect example… I want to know what that place is. What do those statues represent. What is the scaled creature? In another scene there are giant abstract faces forming a wall. In others giant human statues or remnants of them, hugely thick stone walls, or massive temples of stone. It is all very inspiring and imaginative.

Pict from my TV, better shot of the weird head. It almost looks like a rooster but then it has 3 big horns on it's head and if that's not a bird beak on the bottom right it might be a tusk. In other shots during the scene there were some other giant tusks being shown... appeared to be from a stone colored head I think. This orange roostery head is probably not bird at all the more I think about it, scales, 4 feet, horns all over. A monster. And worth note, inside/under the bull, the orange skin was flapping around... so maybe this represents a killed monster that someone used as a wall for their camp under the bull. I would love to find out more about this whole thing, maybe it's in a Red Sonja book/comic somewhere.

Close ups of RoosteryHead's horns and possible tusks:

And this shot of the skeleton bridge ... this giant creature has 4 legs and a huge single horn. No telling what it is:

Godzilla vs Kong stuff

And for the new 2021 movie, it was good that ***SPOILERS*** Godzilla won, because. Yet, he needed to get some good licks in on MechaG before he obviously let King Kong help out. I mean you know, because even though G was tired and whatnot, no way would he have lost to a robot. ;)
